Through the darkness will light prevail?
Trying to make sense of this man made hell
I don’t feel safe, I’m tired of running
Nowhere to hide and I know something’s coming
Buckle up let me take you on a ride
The views pretty on the passengers side.
We’re moving fast but the Earth feels steady
Open your eyes, tell me that you’re ready
Surround yourself with people that you love
Life’s an olive branch and we are the doves
Looking for help, not trying to be needy
Talking to myself and the big guy above me
He knows I never asked for this
Here for a purpose but that doesn’t make sense
How can love and hate coexist?
A bi-polar bear that’s happy then pissed
It’s getting chilly, it’s getting colder
Maybe hell has finally frozen over
Cuddled up real cozy
In the warmth of my sins and a homie
The worlds on fire and there’s smoke in the sky
What can I do? I’m only one guy
You have a gift and you better not loose it
You’re a leader and you don’t have to prove it
Not to yourself or anybody
take it day by day
cause you know God got you
It’s going to be tough but you’re tougher
This is your movie but the screen is on buffer
Where’s the connection? I guess I’m out of range
Focused on the flesh and worrying about wrong things
I never thought that I would be something’s dinner
Consumed by a world that’s only getting bigger
Surround yourself with people that you love
Life’s a bitch and it greets you with a shove
Hold your head up, prove the devil wrong
Dust yourself off maybe put it in a poem
This isn’t for the fame, this is for the people
That struggle with the pain of never feeling equal
Dear odd man out, only soldier in the field
I got your back, cause I know that life gets real
Better days are coming, this is your year
Be aware of the evils but never show them fear
The man upstairs has a plan for your light
